What is a local grassroots chapter?

 

A grassroots chapter is a group of caring persons just like you who want to work together in an organized fashion to preserve the sanctity of life in your community.  Your local chapter will work with our State and National Offices to help better educate your friends, neighbors, and elected policy makers about the dangers of following the misguided path onto which the culture of death would seduce our Great Nation.

 

Why form a local grassroots chapter?

 

We have often heard how “evil advances when good people do nothing”, by forming a grassroots chapter, you can work together with other good people in your community to change the hearts and minds of your elected leaders at home, as well as, in Sacramento and Washington D.C..   

 

What does a grassroots chapter do?

 

We already have local grassroots chapters in several communities.  They have two important missions – educating their members with the latest knowledge to persuade others and conducting citizen lobbying.   Working with our State and National Offices, these chapters generally meet on a monthly basis to discuss current events and challenges effecting the Prolife movement and to plan and organize events and activities, like conducting local qualifying competitions for our Annual Statewide Oratory Contest, that will help advance our important cause - preserving the sanctity of life.

 

How does a local grassroots chapter work?

 

Grassroots chapters put a human face and personal touch on our Prolife message.  After all, it is only human nature for an uninformed person to listen and trust information from real people in their community over sensational stories peddled by today’s biased news media.  Well planned and organized events put on by our local grassroots chapters generate positive exposure with the general public for our important cause, sometimes even earning positive Prolife news stories!   Our support staff in Sacramento has extensive experience with organizing events, media training, citizen lobbying; and stands ready to help you successfully start a grassroots chapter in your community.   Right now, with our State Legislature considering proposals to promote killing the emotionally and physically vulnerable, like Physician Assisted Suicide, winning our fight is up to you.
