SB 128 – Physician Assisted Suicide (Wolk) – OPPOSE

This bill will legalize assisted suicide. It will remove the current legal protection that prevents third-party involvement in killing the medically vulnerable. Wherever enacted, such laws have thrown open the gates for much broader killing.

SB 277 – Mandated Childhood Vaccines Intrude on Parental Rights (Pan) – OPPOSE

This bill strives to eliminate the personal belief exemption option from the school immunization law forcing parents to vaccinate their children from all diseases deemed necessary by the Department of Public Health (DPH). Some immunizations use tissue from aborted babies.

SB 118 – School Based Health Clinic Expansion Act (Liu) -OPPOSE

This bill changes the way startup funds for School Based health facilities are allocated. These clinics provide abortion referrals without and parental knowledge.

Senate Appropriations Committee

 AB 1254 – Eliminate Abortion Mandates in Insurance Coverage (Grove) – SUPPORT

This bill would provide that a health care service plan is not required to include abortion as a covered benefit. The bill would prohibit the director from denying a license, or disciplining a licensee, on the basis that the plan excludes coverage for abortions.
