Did you know that most Americans really don’t favor abortion? Are you aware that the only time pollsters get a favorable response on abortion is when they don’t even mention it? Their questions focus on “a woman’s right to choose,” or “terminating a pregnancy,” or some other euphemism.
When the truth about abortion is discussed, the vast majority of Americans oppose it. We know that when people only talk about a woman and her right to do what she wants, people will tend to sympathize only with her. But most importantly, we also know that when the unborn child is discussed, and any facts about that child’s life are brought to light, Americans are strongly sympathetic toward that helpless individual.
The truth about that unique and distinct individual who at the present time is without any protection…the truth about that life is what the pro-life movement is all about.
The “Forgetting Someone” project is part of a statewide effort of proven effectiveness. This simple straightforward message is dynamic and dramatic in its effect on people’s opinions. It is non-political and “non-religious.” The objective facts make true the age old adage that “a picture is worth a thousand words.”/
One of the essential elements of the “Forgetting Someone” project is having this simple poster placed in the back of every church. By doing so, a church is not making a political statement, it is not endorsing the elements of some other faith, it is not violating any of the tenets of its own faith. The placing of this unobtrusive poster is a simple reminder of what is really at stake in an abortion…the LIFE OF A CHILD.
In addition to posters, there are also flyers, which can be used as bulletin inserts, stickers, newspaper ads, and radio and television spots. And all these tools convey our real message – that it is a human being, someone innocent and helpless, whose life is in immediate danger.
Please see that this poster appears in the back of your local church, in Christian bookstores, or in an appropriate spot used by your service or community group. Also, if you have any questions, contact CPLC, and thank you again for your commitment to life.
We are asking for a donation for each “Forgetting Someone” packet to help cover our costs. Your help in reaching others with the pro-life message is important and much appreciated!
